A mysterious stomper! One of my favorite types of records to feature.

No one seems to know ANYTHING about Al; so many of the releases on Sure Shot records are a mystery but once again, the real story is in the grooves.

    Seems like Washington DC was his homebase : he has at least another recording on his own on Quest Records; more often behind the scene, he played piano for Eddie Floyd at one (or maybe more) recording session and was associated with Joe Tate's Captown records (writer/co-producer : C-Quents, Blendells, Uptowners). All that in Washington D.C.
