LENIS GUESS - JUST ASK ME

One would easily be led into hearing this record and thinking it was a Detroit production; not so, as Lenis Guess is from Norfolk, VA (which is where the record was cut).

This record is a fantastic stomper, with excellent vocals (Lenis' lead, a call and response section, and female backing) and wild energy.

This is Lenis' debut record, and he has been active in the arts ever since- music, theater and films. His current music is in the gospel vein.

    Very superb record. Uptempo, great funky call and response harmonies. Seeing the stamp on the label, I note this record hails from Johnson City's WETB 790 AM, one of my close friends is currently a DJ there on the Afternoon shift. And the radio station, like Lenis Guess turned Gospel down the line.
