BOBBY DAY - SO LONELY (SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE)


Yep, the same fella that charmed hearts with "Rockin' Robin" released this stormer about 8 years later!

Born and raised in Ft Worth, TX, Bobby relocated to LA and became a member of the Hollywood Flames before striking out on his own. I am going to make a guess and say he was probably living in Texas at the time of this record, as Sure Shot was based in Houston (but I could be dead wrong).

So who's the other half of this Sam & Dave-style duet - could it be an uncredited Earl Nelson, making it a Bob & Earl record in all but name?

John Manship feels that this is Bob and Earl, although the writing credit does indeed mention Bobby Day (R. Byrd)
