First off; that picture sleeve. AMAZING! The Glories look absolutely glorious in their minis and go-go boots. The kind of stuff that dreams are made of...
Formed by leader Frankie (Frances) Gearing (a Floridian transported to New York along with producer Bob Yorey), where Mildred Vaney and Delores Brown were recruited to be in the group. The Glories found their first release ("I Stand Accused", bound to be a 45 of the day at some point in the future) also to be their most successful. Further releasesdid not chart, although this fantastic number certainly SHOULD have. The Glories eventually were discovered by Memphis master Willie Mitchell; Dolores Brown left the group (and was replaced by Lois reeves) and the group became Hi Records hitmakers Quiet Elegance, once again featuring Frankie's excellent vocals.

Hi, great blog for obscure 45s. I've been following a while now. I too am a collector and musician for 40 odd years now.
Do you think you could post the Divshare so someone could preview the song before they download it? Much appreciated!
A very nice number. Thank you.
sorry, but can't use divshare any more. Too many problems.
sweeeeet. This is lovely, thanks!
Hi Derek, I too miss divShare. It's nice being able to preview a tune before downloading. I do understand the previous difficulties though. However, just in case you decide to try it again, it is now possible to post the music player on site and also include a download link. I respect your decision, of course, but just wanted to let you know.
divshare is BACK!
Hi Derek,
I'm out of town right now and have just been able to access the internet. Thanks so much for making the extra effort to provide divShare listening again. It's much appreciated.
All the best,
Marie (Have to sign in anonymously because I can't remember my password!)
