Phew...2:20 of pure, RED HOT, smouldering Detroit r&b, right here!
Known as "The Prince Of Detroit" (the Prince of Minneapolis came along to musical prominence much later), Lee Rogers' too-brief life (he died at age 51 in 1990) was entirely spent in the music business. He cut a number of minor (but always excellent) soul hits, then went on to work in songwriting and a&r/ promotion for a few different labels.
from 1967...

Hiya Derek, long time no see (have a lot of internet issues/blocking/censorship where I am). Getting a workaround slowly :)
I miss the daily emails (because they did get through) but understand the time that consumed.
Anyway, this track takes me back must be 25 years ago when I bought this. Great track. Thx for the trip down memory lane.
I now have to go back over nearly a year of your postings to catch up haha.
Thx again - very much appreciate your efforts. A friend is just getting a Northern/Rare Soul + RnB online, could I link you up?
