The Enchanters were, for a time, Garnet Mimms backing vocal group (they are heard on Garnet's smash "Cry Baby"). After Garnet stopped using them as backers, they cut a few records of their own with genius New York City producer Jerry Ragovoy, whose productions tended to be on the grand scale but even i their epic majesty always, somehow, stayed grounded on earth.
This excellent sides also shows off the excellent vocalizing of the Enchanters, which helped lend such majesty to Mimms' tracks.
