KO KO TAYLOR - WANG DANG DOODLE

Ko Ko, you will surely be missed.

This song has been butchered by far too many lame bands, but hearing the original again reminds me about how this is one of the all time most killingest jams there is.

Willie Dixon's lyrics are practically a novel, but how many writers can be THAT quick with developing characters?

Ko Ko's vocal performance is top notch to say the least.

from 1966...

Koko Taylor and David Carradine both in the same day... the world just got a little less cool. Thanks for the tribute, Derek.

Is this the original - I always thought Howlin' Wolf's was first?

your right....Howlin Wolf's WAS first. My mistake, thanks for the heads up.

According to NY Times' obit, Koko distanced herself from the lyrics a little, referring to the song as "silly." Haven't heard that Willie Dixon did, tho.
