TINA BRITT - THE REAL THING


Sounding very similar to "Quicksand" and "Heat Wave" by Motown Martha but just different enough to be unique, this is another great one from obscure singer Tina Britt (last heard from on this blog months ago with "Who Was That".)

Tina is another artists who, although she recorded more than a few records and was also in with producer Juggy Murray, remains a mysterious enigma.

This was her first release.

The Chiffons did a great version of this on the B-side of their equally incredible single "Nobody Knows What's Going On In My Mind But Me." Both came out in 1965, wonder which came first.. Anyway, great post!
