Comments

Hello all-

For the past 4+ years I've allowed anonymous comments. Not anymore. It seems as though time goes on, I end up fielding more and more crackpots that, plain and simply, have something negative to say which is irrelevant and downright boring. It zaps my energy weeding thru them and often times makes me consider stopping this site. My advice for the critics is START YOUR OWN WEBSITE. Obviously, I post things on here that bring me personal happiness and I am happy to share with anyone who wants to listen. Music is supposed to make us happy, not bring out people's bad vibes.

This will not effect most of the readers of this site who are wonderful, many of whom I have made friends with in the outside world on my travels.

peace,
the editor.

I can't imagine what the "anonymous" folks have to gripe about. I love your blog. Keep up the good work!

I've followed your blog for years now. Derek, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy the label scans and some of the music very much. No one can hit 100% all of the time in this type of venue, simply because of the nature of what you and many bloggers do and that is post. Verdelle Smith had a great single on capitol in 1966. The title is "If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all" (email me if you want the mp3). I hope that you will forgret this negativity and take a moment to think about what motivates someone that should be a casual observer, to write nasty, critical letters to a blogger. It ain't worth it. Keep on doing what you do. Ignore future mail/negativity and just go your way. God Bless!

Thanks for your work in maintaining the site and introducing me to acts and songs I didn't know before.

I don't comment often, but when i do it's for the right reasons. What negative things could anyone possibly have to say about this site?! It baffles the mind...
Keep doing what you're doing, and fuck em if they don't dig it.

Just adding my 2 cents - - I thank you for this blog. Always interesting and entertaining, I especially love hearing music by artists I know nothing about. The background info you include with each track and the label scans are stellar.
Do whatever you have to do to keep the morons away. I personally love this blog and would miss it terribly if it went away. Thank you again for the pleasure you have brought to me and others.

I am three weeks short of my 65th birthday so I don't really know what facebook is all about and really have no need to use it, although my daughter did convince me to start a page.
So I have "liked" your site (if that is the correct term) and your updates appear daily now so that the few facebook friends I do have can see how incredibly cool I am.

Thank you for many, many of my iPod tunes.
