Much has been written about how the High Numbers (the earliest incarnation of the Who) pilfered this song to become the b side of their debut single ("Zoot Suit").
Anyway, this is a great stomper (almost a garage record but with way better singing and musicianship than most garage records).
from 1963...

Post the flip side!!!!!!!!!!!
Derek - there would seem to be some connection between the two bands. Yesterday we caught a couple of songs by a vocal group at a weekly outdoor Blues event (in Detroit). Later, one of the dudes was hustling CDRs to the crowd, of The Dynamics' "Greatest Hits". I asked him what that was all about and he pointed to one of the group pictured on the First Landing LP jacket and stated, "that's my uncle". I noticed later that "Misery", and "I'm The Man" were included on the disc.

Actually, The Dynamics used to rehearse 'Misery' in my basement when I was a kid, in Detroit circa 1963. They originally cut the song with Decca records. The producer for that song was Dave Fox.
Have always loved this one! I remember hearing it for the first time, while dancing at a club, and thinking, "Waitaminute,is this...? Whoa... it is!"
And, of course, this is followed by the feeling that you just learned another bit of trivia from the era.
