This incredible record shows the beauty and tragedy of Little Willie John's voice in an enigmatic and deep way that shows once again how he is one of the most under appreciated greats in all of music.
The lyrics are like a series of haikus, and the musical backing repeats the creepy vibe of "Fever". This is one of Willie's final singles (directly before the mighty "I'm Shakin", a past 45 of the day) before his (probably trumped up) incarceration and sad demise in prison.

Yet another beauty.
Thanks so much for all this amazing music.
Again, Derek's Daily 45 is one of the main reasons why it's a joy to get out of bed of a morning.
Cheers,

One of my favorite songs - thank you.
It was used to great effect in "Lone Star", also...
Wow. What a record!!!
one of my favourite LWJ tracks. Great record!
It's ironic that this song's arrangement copies Peggy Lee's arrangement of "Fever", not Little Willie John's original version.
