My friend (and super DJ) Eric Colin (Chicago, IL) hipped me to this amazing record which manages to be moody and magnificent yet bubbling and effervescent.
Probably a New York City studio concoction, I reckon.

Definitely not NYC, Derek - this is a UK recording. Martin Kershaw, who arranged the track, was/is a top session player here in London, and the late Adrian Millar, who produced it, was among other things manager of London-based group the Babys. Just for the record!
