BOBBY JONES AND THE PARA-MOUNTS - BEWARE A STRANGER

Louisiana native Bobby Jones grew up in (and still performs based out of) Chicago. This record beautifully merges his deep southern vocals with the uptempo, uptown Chicago soul-blues of this era that is simply sublime.

There are so many incredible little touches in this record; the bongos, excellent female backing vocals, a great horn chart. I LIVE for this stuff. But you know that.

Incredible! What a find. In total agreement on everything, from the pulsing bongos to the hot horns and the great backups. But you nailed it here: "...beautifully merges his deep southern vocals with the uptempo, uptown Chicago soul-blues."
