THE UGLY DUCKLINGS - NOTHIN'

This Canadian group shows that they were most definitely picking up pointers from their English brothers (The Who, Pretty Things, and especially The Yardbirds) on their debut record, which I would file under one of the greatest debut 45's in all of garage rock. These guys could PLAY, and the intensity level of the record is set to STUN. Plus, it's a great SONG, as well.

Not for the faint of heart.

Fab song, incredible guitar break. Just what the doctor ordered, I'd say!

That truly is some fine guitar work. Heck, everything there is good. IIRC, the Flip-side is I Can Tell, which is pretty good too.

Saw the Ducks live in 1967 at the Niagara Falls Ontario Union Centre (formerly a Bissel appliance factory).
Loud Loud Loud.
Inspirational for our garage band, the Legends Inc.
We played 27 Saturday nights in a row at the Falls YMCA.
