JEAN WELLS - TRY ME AND SEE

Here's a red hot stormer from New Orleans' own Jean Wells; I love how the drummer controls this song so well with slightly changing the tempo! Plus, Ms Wells always delivered top notch, saucy and sassy vocals on top of a killer song.

Have a great New Year's eve celebration, everyone!

I love New Orleans, I love Jean Wells, but that doesn't mean she's from the city. Maybe you're thinking of Jean Knight? Jean Wells is from Florida.

Happy New Years!

Derek - I love the site and I love the selections you make day after day. Thank you.
As a Scot this is a hugely sentimental time of year - thinking back and looking ahead (gives a bit of a sore neck of you're not careful)and celebrating the things that make life worth living - family, friends etc.
Our national poet is Robert Burns, most famous for Old Lang Syne which so beautifully says what needs to be said at this time of year. Anyway, Derek, Happy New Year - and here's some tartan soul courtesy of Aretha and Billy:
