Resurrecting one of the giant names of doo wop, this record finds the great Pookie Hudson (lead vocals) with an all new group of Spaniels, updating to a more contemporary (but just as sweet as everything else that Pookie recorded) sound.
You may remember Pookie's solo release, 'This Gets To Me' was featured a year or so ago, and is one of my top ten all time favorite 45's! Whether its doo wop classics like 'Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight' or later records like this, Pookie's voice shows itself to be a true thing of wonder.

In my area, there used to be a radio show that aired every Sunday morning called "Sunday Morning Oldies" and each week the DJ showcased "The Pookie Hudson Record of the Week". I always looked forward to that spot. This post has reminded me of those Sunday mornings. Thank you!
