SAM DEES - LONELY FOR YOU BABY

From Birmingham, AL, Sam Dees journeyed to Nashville as a young man to begin recording (of which this is one of his earliest sides). Sam later recorded for Atlantic in the 70's and remains active in music to this day.

Can you believe the condition of my copy? It's a wonder that it plays at all but other than the intro crackles it sounds pretty damn good. I'm just glad to own it; I am not one to prize rarity over music but this is a TOUGH record to find, and it's sought after by soul collectors of all shapes and sizes.

Soul music does not get any better, or any more raw and deep. This is the real thing.

I've been loving this tune for a while now. Sam Dees doesn't get the credit he deserves!

This record sells for anywhere between $300-600. That's why I happily settled for a reissue.
